Installation instructions

Ideal Conditions

The road surface moisture content is below 6% in dry conditions of 10°C to 28°C, with humidity below 85%.

Tools Required for Installation

Drill (Impact drill or regular drill), marking tools, air blower or dust blower, rubber mallet or urethane hammer, epoxy adhesive, reflective road studs, safety warning tools, and a specialized flattening hammer or chisel.

Construction Sequence

1. Safety Measures

To ensure safe installation, control traffic and set up directional signs and safety warning tools.

2. Marking Drilling Positions

Check the installation positions and mark the drilling spots on the road.

3. Drilling the Road

Use an impact drill or regular drill with a diameter of 30~32mm, drill vertically to a depth of over 80mm.

4. Surface Flattening

To ensure the reflective road studs adhere properly, use a hammer or chisel to flatten the road surface.

5. Checking Installation Position

When inserting the reflective road studs into the drilled holes, check for any movement and ensure there is a 2~3mm gap and that the stud is firmly adhered to the road surface.

6. Removing Dust and Debris

Remove dust and debris using an air blower or dust blower.

7. Using Epoxy Adhesive

Mix the epoxy adhesive with the base material and hardener, and fill 70%~80% of the drilled hole.

8. Installing Reflective Road Studs

Slowly insert the road studs into the drilled holes, using a urethane mallet or rubber mallet to gently adjust and ensure the bottom of the road stud is firmly adhered to the road surface.

9. Epoxy Curing Time

During the curing period, monitor traffic to avoid disruptions. The curing time for epoxy depends on the manufacturer and conditions, so refer to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

10. Checking Installation

Verify that the spacing of the road studs and their adhesion to the road surface are as per the guidelines. Clean the surrounding installation area and remove any safety warning equipment from the area.
